In September 1965, the Ulrum go-kart track opened its doors for the first time, a lot has changed but the passion for the sport and the cozy casual atmosphere are still there as ever. The first races were ridden on homemade motorbikes, a lot has changed in 2024, the trolleys have changed into real karts with adjustable seats and pedals so that everyone fits in properly. Safety has also come to play a major role in karting. Just like Formula 1, there are tires along the track that reduce the impact in the event of a crash, there are also 4-point seat belts in the karts, just like a roller bar. In the 1960s, it was a few drivers who had their own kart who trained weekly at our circuit, nowadays renting is also a big part of our work on weekends and vacations. We revived this circuit in 2017 and are still here every day. working on it for the week. Almost everyone of us takes part in races with his or her own kart.
